There is no Such Thing as Love as love is about a scientific theory, one that suggests that all our actions are due to biological and social impulses, not really free will. Why else would a king rejoice at having an heir when all it does is cement the reality of his inevitable demise? Because the kingdom (in this case, the entire human species) is bigger than the king and must go on. Our social, familial and romantic relationships are (in)fluenced by chemicals in the brain and meant to make sure humans don’t go extinct. I know it sounds quite depressing but I think it’s freeing, knowing that whatever we do, nature is doing its best to ensure our species survives (despite the destructive nature of said species). I could go on about this unto eternity but the reader (in the case of the video, viewer) may find consolation in knowing that I do believe in love, and I also believe that a lot of it is chemicals in our brains, which doesn’t make it any less valid ❤️.
