The All Poets Network in partnership with Gatmeals Limited is pleased to announce the maiden 2021 Engausa Poetry Prize
The APNET/Gatmeals Engausa Poetry Prize is calling for ENGAUSA POEMS ON THE THEME OF CORRUPTION
Cash prize award in addition to other priceless gifts of books would be presented to the Gold Prize winning entry, while Silver Prize and Bronze Prize winning entries would only attract book prizes, no cash.
In addition, all brilliant entries received would be published in a forthcoming anthology which APNET
in collaboration with CITAD would be presenting to the public in December 2021 to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day.
In view of this, entries are invited from all interested poets not necessarily those who participated in the 1st and 2nd Engausa Poetry Writing Workshop organized by All Poets Network in collaboration with CITAD and AKWEYA RADIO in June and July respectively.
NOTE: Engausa poetry is an emerging poetry genre which combines English and Hausa words in its expressions. It borrows from the vocabulary and cultural expressions of both languages to create imagery and tonality that colour and beautifies poetry in fresh modes.
