This book seeks to memorialize the wide-ranging and far-reaching dimensions of the life and works and accomplishments of PIUS ADEBOLA ADEDANMI, from his Isanlu hometown roots in Kogi State, Nigeria, to his last port of work at Carleton University in Canada.
Guide To Submissions
Submissions are called for in two genres—prose and poetry. An individual may send in both genres.
Only two poems per submission are allowed, each no longer than a quarto-sized page (40 lines). We welcome freshly-written poems as well as those already accepted for publication, and even those already published elsewhere.
Short reminiscences, eulogies or reviews written or posted on the internet and social media are welcome. Only one prose piece per submission is allowed. There is no caveat as to length saving that the editors will sift, edit and select what is in line with the objectives of The Path Chose Him.
A Word on Themes
Themes should engage the sense of the present loss and also reflect the celebration of the meanings and the accomplishments of the life and works of the departed. All your responses to your encounters with him personally, professionally or as a public intellectual in his column essays and engagements on the social media platforms are welcome. Themes on the general situation of Nigeria, Africa and the World, the travails and the triumphs are also welcome.
